School and a little cosplay...

Sorry for not posting as much as I used too, but school started last Wednesday and I haven't been able to post anything. Also, I've become extremely lazy on this and my other sites. Idk. Maybe I'm just not into "that" mood as I was several months ago.

Anywhoo, school has started and I'm pretty thrilled with my classes because they're all easy (except math...booo) and each one has an entertaining teacher. I love teachers who are fun and speak loud and clear. Mostly because I'm hearing impaired and I like having teachers who speak loudly enough for me. And I like it when they're fun because it usually keeps me awake and entertained :)
And aside from classes, I'm getting to see my college friends again ^__^ Last Friday, we all went to see "Vampire Sucks" (which truly does) as a back-to-school celebration. idk, we can be weird sometimes. lol :D And besides, we wanted to make fun of a movie that we all knew that would be bad (which it was so please don't see it...it's not worth it) and just have fun before the weekend.

And as for cosplay, I plan on starting on my Sakura costume this weekend, (since I have nothing else better to do) because I feel like that if I don't start now, I might regret it later. I'm not sure if I'll go to any of the fall conventions, but it does help to sew a costume ahead of time just in case, cause you never know :)
But I'll probably wear Sakura at Fanime next year.

Who knows.

Anyway, I have other cosplays in mind that I'll probably sew for Fanime or other cons:

Sakura (Naruto Shippuden)
Rukia (Bleach)
Riza (Fullmetal Alchemist)
Haruhi (Ouran High School Host Club)
Haine (The Gentlemen's Alliance Cross)
Kairi (Kingdom Hearts 2)
Paine (Final Fantasy X-2)
Princess Azula (Avatar: The Last Airbender)
Princess Zelda (The Legend of Zelda)

The list might shorten before Fanime because it's too many to make and might be pricy for fabrics and wigs. But I'll still make all of the costumes as you can see on the list :)

But I'm most likely going to cosplay Zelda because everyone keeps telling me that I look like her!!!! I'm so touched *__* If I can pull off being Zelda very well, then she will be my main character of cosplays. You know, that I'll take many pictures of myself as Zelda and post them everywhere on the interent and claim to say that I am Zelda. lol :)

Well mostly facebook, youtube, deviantart, and this blog. lol I might get a cosplay.com too, but I'm going to wait until after Fanime next year to get one because at this moment, Tohru is the only cosplay that I've done so far :/

Oh well, there is more to come in the future and I hope that I'll have enough money for the stuff that I need and want for my cosplays.

Ok, time for beddy byes. I'm tired from doing my homework and trying out this SAI paint program for artists like me. It's totally FUN ^_______^ Good night everybody.

P.S.
Next month I'll be changing my background picture again. Just so you know....

Back from camping!!!

I've been gone for about a week and I feel...happy. I'm happy that me and my family got to spend an entire week together at RCP (Redwood Christian Park). RCP is a camp for families that come every year to relax, have fun, and worship God. Yup, it's my kind of camp.

So this years theme was Route 66 and I was dissappointed that my mom and I didn't have to time to make me and my sister poddle skirts for the Sock Hop that they had on Tuesday night let alone the theme. So all I could do that night was stare at the other kids who wore their poddle skirts and admire them. I was hoping to cosplay as Haruhi in a poddle skirt when I found out the theme, but no! I only wore a the Route 66 white T-shirt.

But I still had fun because my friend Andy taught me some swing dancing XD

I also got to see my really good camp friends again. They're all really nice and they're all fans of anime and other nerdy things which is why I'm friends with them. One of my friends brought ALL of his Pokemon cards and all of us played the game for a little bit in his cabin. Good times they were.

And took a plenty of good pictures while I was there and a few vids (but not many as much as I thought I would). And on Wednesday while everybody else at camp was at Sea Cliff beach, me and my family went to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and rode on a few rides with my sibilings. Mostly because we've never been to the boardwalk as a family and my parents thought it would be fun if we just ditched going to the beach and just go to the boardwalk instead. Good times. My mom also bought me a musical carousal (it's something that I always wanted ever since I was a little kid) while we were there.

And finally, I got more into reading the Bible that week. Lately, I haven't been reading the bible as much as I used to because the internet is so distracting and I've been feeling awfully distant from God. So I was glad that I went to camp because I needed a boast to get me back to God. I keep forgetting how wonderful he truely is and why I always have this burn of fire for him.

Anyway, that was my camping trip. Also, we had S'mores and they're always delicious by the campfire X3 I'll post pictures soon, so you'll get to them. So I'll talk to you all later :)

P.S. Like the new picture? I wanted to put up a Fruits Basket because I just recently cosplayed Tohru and I just felt like Fruits Basket is the theme of the month. So once a month, I'll probably post up a new picture depending on my mood or what I'm cosplaying as. And I'll usually post up boyxgirl couples pictures because it's cute and romantic. Something that I DON'T have yet, but hopefully someday I will. I just have to keep on praying for the right man.

Ok...bye now :3

Meh...but happy.

Sorry for the long wait. I've been too lazy to post a blog and I wasn't sure what to write about the Ani-Vent besides "It was the best first con I've ever been too!" But...meh, here are some pictures:

Though, I still had an awesome time. My friend Kat (who was Kagura), my little sister (who was Momiji), and I went as the Fruits Basket characters. Unfortunatly, not everyone in my group showed up due to either costing too much or couldn't make the costume in time or was busy on the same day >.< I was not too thrilled with that because I really wanted my group to experience their first con in the valley.
I mean, they all sounded like that they wanted to go and they all were more than willing to get the fabric for their costumes, but when the big day got nearer, they just seemed to forget or somehow magicially got other things planned!!! Well, I'm not extremely mad at my group, but I knew we should've bought our fabric sooner!!!

Oh well, at least me and Kat found a Kyo (who was actually a girl unfortunatly) at the con and we asked to take a picture with her (as you can see up above). And I got a few trinkets or keepsakes from the con. I was especially surprised that they actually had an Ouran High School Host Club cellphone charm (but it's a little too big hahaha), I thought I never would find one of those. And I was so close to having a Sasuke plushie, but my mom told me that we didn't have much money so I sadly put my would've been Sasuke plushie back on the shelf. I knew I should've brought extra money because they had so many awesome things like posters, action figures, plushies, DVD's, necklaces, cellphone charms, t-shirts, and so on!

Man, cons have so many great things. I guess I have to prepare myself for the Fanime one huh? Because I know that they have more booths and they sell more stuff then you can ever imagine. So I'll probably have to bring more than $100 dollars as far as I know.

Anyway, I got to try pocky sticks for the very first time and apparently, they like to stick together when it's hot :D I had a hard time trying to break them apart so I could eat them one at a time, but I ended up eating them all at once O.o But other than that, they were so good xD I also got to try this strange tangy drink that stung my tongue (I don't like drinks that sting my tongue, it's too weird).
Well, that's all I have to say about the con, not much happened and I was dissippointed that not everyone in my group showed up (it would've been more fun with all them).

That's all I have to say because my brother wants to watch a movie right now while I'm still packing for our camping trip. Yeah, I'll explain more in the next blog. Signing out for a whole week.

Tohru skirt finished :D

I am so thrilled that my mom and I finished my Tohru Honda skirt today and it didn't take that long at all to sew. So here's a picture of it:

I will also post a picture of my shirt and wig in the next blog (when I finish the shirt that is), so stay tuned for that ;) Also, in case you haven't noticed, I've posted some stamps on the side and changed my design on my blogspot.
Yup! I was so bored that I just wanted to fill in my time pasting stamps of my favorite nerd things ^^.

Anyway, that's all I have to say because right now I want to watch a movie online. A movie that I've never seen before, but have always wanted too :)

Peace out ;D

Freaking out!!!!

With 2 weeks left until the Ani-Vent, I've hardly even finished my costume!!!! All I've done is the skirt and that's it! And what's even worse is: My friends haven't even started on theirs!!!!! Where in the world did the time go!!!!

Seriously, I'm freaking out!!!!

But at least I have my Tohru Honda wig so that's completed :) But I don't think I'll get the brown color contacts due to money issues, so whatever photos I take with my costume, I'll probably photoshop my eyes. Mostly because me and my friends are going by the manga's eye color, not the animes eye color because it's just not the same and people get so confused.

Anyway, me and my friends plan on going to Joann's one last time on Monday, to get extra fabric then finally sew the costumes. And I think Flavio's and Jordin's costumes will be easy because they're both going as Yuki and Kyo in summer uniform so that'll be something less to worry about. But as for everybody else; it's a living hell!
I mean, Austin (who will be Shigure) his costume will be tough to make and quite a while to make!!!! Then we have Kat (who will be Kagura), her costume...well since she knows how to sew I think she'll be fine. And then we have my younger sister, Lulu-chan (who will be Momiji) her costume should be easy to make since it is the same as Tohru's (almost), but we also have to make the hat too O.O And I don't know how to make hats!!!!

Ugh! I knew we should've started as soon as possible, but did my group listen or even my mom listen? Answer: NO!!!! And now were close to that day and I feel like we've been just lazy at everything!

But I do know that first cosplay costumes tend to be not so great because you don't know what to do or what to plan or where to meet when you want to sew. Now I kind of understand so that way we don't make the same mistake ever again and I really want my group to stay tight together for as long as possible (even when I go to Asbury University in Kentucky) and cosplay many anime shows, mangas, and video games of whatever we have in mind. That is sort of my master minded plan for the future and since I'm the chosen leader (seriously, my friends chose me out all people to be their leader), it is my duty to make sure that everyone is involved and has everything ready for the next cosplay convention, parody video, or photoshoot.

Oh who am I kidding!!!! I mean, I'm no leader! I was never a leader in girl scouts or swimming or band or art club or anything at all because I didn't know how to be one and I was also too shy to speak up in front of everybody and trying to be encourging. But appartently my friends chose me because I seem to know everything about cosplaying and when the next conventions are and stuff like that. And I even know what characters suit my friends the most. I know that's funny, but it's true!

*sighs* Well, if they expect me to lead then I should lead, besides it's sort of always been my dream to be one ever since I watched Sailor Moon and The Powerpuff Girls back when I was kid. lol.

Anyway, I do hope and pray that our cosplays will get done in time for the small, but fun Ani-Vent because I want my cosplay adventure to begin and no one is going to stop me. Mostly because I'm determined to make things happen ^__^

Okay that's all I've got to say. I will post some pics of my skirt and wig pretty soon okay :D

Peace out!

I'm as busy as a Bumble bee

And it's true. The reason why I haven't posted anything in a while is because I had several graduations to go to, one short family vaction, and one fun trip with college/cosplay friends.

Yup, I've been busy. I also have been busy with my Tohru costume as well and the skirt is coming along just really great! I can't wait to see what it'll look like when I'm done with it, as well as the shirt. My other cosplay members haven't even started on theirs and they're really behind. We've got until July 17th to finish our Fruits Basket costumes because of the Ani-Vent in Fresno, so I've been trying to text them all, but none of them have responded. Maybe I should try calling them or something idk, but I'm not much of a calling person. Oh well.

Anyway, about the graduation ceremonies that I had to go to because I usually have nothing else better to do, the first one was in LA and it was for my dad's friends sons college graduation. It was fine and a little interesting but really HOT!!! I tried to read my book Runaway by Meg Cabot to get my mind off of the heat, but it just made it worse.
So I told my mom that I needed shade and went straight to the nearest tree and stayed there for a while until all the students got their diplomas. This is why I hate outdoor graduations because it's always hot and sweaty, especially in the early morning. I like them better when they're in the evening because it's not as hot and it's more relaxing.

But that's just MY opinion.

So after the graduation I got to meet my dad's friends son (his name was Ryan btw) for the first time and he was really nice and he talked to me for a little bit and asked me where I was going to college and the usual blahdity blah blah. Then we all went to the Cheese Cake Factory and I ordered a chicken sandwich rather than a nice juicy beef. IDK, something different I guess.
Then me and my family left for the hotel in Lanchaster (I think that's how you spell it) and stayed there for a couple of nights. We also got to visit my dad's old house where he used to when he was a kid and surprisingly, it's still standing. We also crusied around the town and the surrounding areas of the California mountain desert (yes it's a desert) which was actually really fun. I've never seen that part of California before, especially since it was my first time in a mountian desert. I think I want to visit it again just for fun.

Then on Monday, we came home and I went straight to my computer because I missed it so much and also I got a lot of messages on DA, youtube, and facebook ^__^ Yup, busy busy.

Okay, then on Tuesday last week, I went to Monterey Bay Aquarium with my college/cosplay friends to just relax and have fun from the stupid finals. Also, it was a getaway from home for a whole day and we all needed it. I'll post some pics up in my next blog because I need to practice on my piano. Anyway, not only did we go to the aquarium, but we went to a small beach as well and we all had fun swimming and throwing sand at each other. Yup, it was the best trip that I ever had with my friends this year and I do hope that we do it again because I want to.

Well I guess you could say that the Ani-Vent counts as our second trip :)

Speaking of which, I finally ordered my Tohru Honda wig on ebay so I'm looking forward to getting it real soon. It'll probably come this Friday or Saturday, so when I do get my wig I'll give it test by taking pictures and making videos of myself and also to see how I look with my wig. I do hope my friends get their wigs soon because we don't have much time and really do wish that they answered my texts, I'm starting to get annoyed.

Got to go now so peace out ;D

Cosplay costume is slowly coming along

So today I went to my mom's friends house because she told my mom that she is a professional seamstress and that she would be more than happy to help and teach me how to sew my Tohru Honda costume. I'm actually really thrilled because I majorly want to learn how to sew on my own and make cosplay costumes in the future.
I'm not saying that my mom is bad at sewing or anything, but she's forgotten how to make costumes properly that she thought it would be better if we go to her friend for help instead.

Which I think is a wonderful idea.

I mean, if I get sewing lessons from her, then I'll be able to sew on my own when I go to college next year. It's something that I've been meaning to do for years but I have had the ability to do it because I've always been lazy. But now since I know what cosplay is, it's like I want to sew like a mad person and make fantastic costumes.
Anyway, we didn't actually sewed today, we searched through her boxes, from the garage, for some really old patterns from the 60's for pleated skirts because Tohru's skirt is pleated and patterns like those are really hard to find these days. We also measured my body lengths and she said I'm quite a slim girl with buff shoulders (it's true, I have buff shoulders from swimming so much). And she was surprised that I wanted my skirt to be the same length as Tohru's because it's really short and I guess she was worried that if a breeze blew by, my skirt would probably flip over.

So we made decided to make the skirt at least 14 inches long, which is just 2 or 3 inches above my knees, and I'm okay with it. But that means I still have to wear spandax anyway to avoid catching people's gazes. Well, people will be gazing at me anyway because they'll be wondering why I'm dressed as a cute innocent school girl during the summer when it's not even Halloween yet.

But hey, it's cosplay :)

And yeah, that's how it went. I had a nice time with her and we plan on meeting again this week to actually start sewing and she's going to teach me. I'm so excited about that, that I just want to sneakily turn on my mom's sewing machine and sew like a mad person. Yeah, that's how excited I am.
But I do hope I'll learn great things from Ellen (that's her name btw) and become better at sewing because that's what I want to do from now on.

Well, I also want to paint and become an author too but those can wait in the future of my college life. For now, I just want to live my life and still be a young child (even though I'm not) learning new things.
