When she saw Harry, her promient eyes seemed to bulge excitedly and she made a beeline straight for him. Many of his classmates turned curiously to watch. Luna took a great breath and then said, without so much as a preliminary hello: "I believe He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is back, and I believe you fought him and escaped from him."
"Er--right," said Harry awkwardly.--page 261,
Harry Potter and the Order of the PhoenixJust something I sketched up for my countdown Harry Potter art.
I hope you like it :)
Hey, I love your blog! I even have it saved as a shortcut on my home screen :) I'm starting my own blog of sorts, and wondered what type of drawings people like, and where you get the ideas for yours. I always critisize mine, and end up comparing it to someone elses, so how do you post it in confidence that someone will like it? P.S. Harry Potter is my all time favorite book! (movie is pretty high up there as well)
ReplyDeleteSorry for not responded this long lol. I hardly go on my blog that much anymore.
DeleteBut to answer your question I have this: it depends on what audience you get that likes what you draw. A majority of people still love Harry Potter, but I think the big fandoms are Avengers or Hunger Games or even Percy Jackson at the moment. You can draw those if you so wish, but I highly recommend that you draw what you are into. For example: I draw stuff that I am into, that people either aren't into or don't know about. It's more fun that way and gives you a chance to express yourself in fanart that isn't well known. Don't just draw for the public, but draw for yourself. That's the beauty of being an artist.
2) The ideas that I get when I draw just depend. Whether it's a book, movie, or tv show or even in real life, I always seem to have an idea on what I see or read. When it comes to books, I read a scene that I really like and I draw it out as best as I can. The Harry Potter books have many wonderful scenes that I want to bring to life on paper :) But it is time consuming lol.
3) This is the most important rule of all when it comes to being an artist: you should never be scared of what people think about your artwork!! I post my artwork online with confidence all the time because I like showing what I can do with a pencil. Will people be negative about what you draw? Yes they will be, but should that stop you? NO!! The key is that you must always practice and continue doing what you love. Never EVER stop because some idiot said something bad about you or artwork, just ignore them and continue drawing.
You've been given a talented gift, so I highly suggest that you don't let it go to waste and draw what you love the most.
I hope that helps :)
